Aesthetics – An Overview
If you want to look like the best version of yourself, then you’re in the right place.

We utilise the latest premier medical-grade technology to provide a wide range of effective non-surgical aesthetic treatments at our clinic in London.

We tackle aesthetics on all levels – quite literally – using a combination of therapist-led and doctor-led treatments to address the outer, middle, and deepest layers of skin.

"Our goal? To help you to exude confidence and love the skin you’re in at any age."

How can we help?

Whether you have specific concerns, want anti-ageing treatments, or preventative skincare, we can keep you looking great for longer.

Our expert aestheticians will take great care of you during and after treatment. The trust and rapport we build with our clientele means that we retain our loyal client base, and receive a great deal of word-of-mouth referrals.

Therapist-led + doctor-led. What’s the difference?

Therapist-led treatments are non-invasive or less invasive and include facials, microdermabrasion, radiofrequency, superficial microneedling, radiofrequency microneedling, mesotherapy including Profhilo, PRP and superficial chemical peels. Doctor-led treatments are those that require a more in-depth medical knowledge of the body and face.

These treatments include Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Mesotherapy for more sensitive areas. For targeting deeper layers of the skin: microneedling, radiofrequency microneedling, chemical peels, toxins and fillers. We are able to offer prescription only topical or local anaesthetic and oral painkillers where required, and prescribe other medications if the need arises. Prescription only bioidentical hormonal skincare is also available as bespoke creams made in a compounding pharmacy.

The Harpal Clinic approach to aesthetics

At Harpal Clinic, we take a bespoke approach. Whilst we are happy to see you as a one-off, we prefer to work with you long-term. We look at your goals, skin concerns and budget, and come up with a plan to get you to where you want to be.

It is very easy to ‘overdo it’ when it comes to treatments such as Botox and fillers; however, at Harpal Clinic, we will never carry out a treatment that is likely to appear unnatural. We believe that slow and subtle wins the race, and prefer to make small, sympathetic tweaks with every treatment – to leave you looking the best version of yourself.

“The results were perfect - natural looking and subtle in exactly the way I'd hoped for. She really understands what makes each person's face unique and I appreciate that she's not just about 'making lips bigger' or 'getting rid of wrinkles' but takes a considered and careful approach to bringing out the best in her patient's features. No one could tell I'd had any procedures done but just that I looked fresher and brighter. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my face!”

Skin problems: Understanding the skin + its layers

Some of the skin issues we see the most often include acne, acne scarring, pigmentation, rosacea, dull skin and uneven texture. We always tackle the underlying issues rather than simply alleviating symptoms.

Our approach to skincare considers its layers, first and foremost. Some skin treatments target the surface layers, while others target the middle and deepest layers. All of these are important, and we do not treat one layer without addressing the others.

Below, we break down which treatments target the different layers of the skin that we offer:

Dr Harpal Bains says: “The classic approach to skin is to treat it to counter oily, combination or dryness issues. And to simply pick a product that matched the skin type. Today I know that that is too simplistic and certainly doesn’t work as well the older you get.

“Think of your skin as a tent. The outer fabric of the tent corresponds with the surface layer of your skin, while the tent’s frame represents the middle and deep layers of the skin.

“Without a quality, sturdy frame, the fabric of the tent would sag and appear wrinkled – the same goes for your skin. I cannot stress how important it is to focus on the deeper layers that are not that visible to the eye. Looking after that layer today will reap benefits in years to come. I believe that that is often forgotten because the media keeps focussing on botox and fillers. I think of it as the forgotten layers.”

Middle/deep layers

Have you spent months – even years – fighting skin issues?

Perhaps you’ve done the rounds of steroids, antibiotics and ‘miracle’ skin products? We utilise functional dermatology to tackle the underlying cause of any skin problems and achieve long term results.

This holistic approach addresses hormone imbalances, gut issues, and can often include IV vitamin therapy and nutrient supplementation with glutathione, plus other vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
